Frequently Asked Questions

Still unsure about something? Call, text or send us a message and we will answer directly.

Which training program is right for my dog?
It depends on your dog's needs, your goals, and how much time you can dedicate at home. A single Private Training Session works well for focused guidance, the Six Private Lessons Package suits owners who want ongoing structure, the Hybrid Program blends professional day training with owner education, and the 21-Day Board & Train is the most immersive option. Contact us and we will help you choose.
How long is a private training session?
A private training session lasts approximately two hours and includes a personalized training plan, hands-on coaching for you, and homework for continued practice at home.
Do owners participate in the training?
Yes. Owner coaching is part of every program. You will learn how to communicate with your dog and how to reinforce the training at home, because consistency at home is what makes progress last.
What happens during Day Training?
In the Hybrid Program, your dog stays with the trainer from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM for structured, hands-on training. At pickup, the day concludes with a private lesson that shows you exactly how to reinforce that work at home.
What is included in the 21-Day Board & Train Program?
21 consecutive days of professional training, daily obedience and behavior work, a structured daily routine with socialization, real-world training in different environments, three private follow-up lessons after your dog returns home, and a personalized transition plan.
Who is eligible for the Training Boarding Service?
Training Boarding is exclusively available to dogs that have successfully completed one of our training programs. Pricing is set after an evaluation — contact us for details. It includes continued reinforcement plus a structured daily outing.
Are ESA letters issued by Abello's Dog Training?
No. Emotional Support Animal letter services are provided by an independent third-party provider. We do not diagnose mental-health conditions, determine eligibility, or issue ESA letters. Eligibility and approval are decided solely by an appropriately licensed healthcare professional after an independent evaluation, and a letter is not guaranteed. An ESA letter does not grant a dog public-access rights.
How do I get started?
Send us a message through the contact form, or call or text (954) 330-8237. Tell us about your dog and your goals, and we will recommend the program that fits your household.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
We understand that plans can change. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to the full session fee. If you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time so we can respect other clients' appointments. If an emergency comes up, contact us as soon as possible — unexpected situations happen and we review them case by case.
Are you insured?
Yes. Abello's Dog Training is insured. A certificate of insurance is available upon request — just contact us and we will send it over.

We proudly provide professional dog training services throughout Broward County and Miami-Dade County. Depending on the type of service requested, we may also be able to accommodate clients in other areas throughout South Florida.
